Answers to your questions about the Savvy Sitter’s services and policies.
Keeping pets in their own home helps:
Pet Sitters are a great alternative to Kennels. Using a Pet Sitter is great for owners of multiple pet homes and you get the added bonus of someone watching over your home while you are away.
We proudly serve Winter Garden, Windermere and Horizon West, as well as some of the surrounding areas. You can find out more on our Service Area Page.
Yes, but I do have a team of highly qualified and trusted team members, as well. They are bonded and insured under me and will provide the best care for your pet. You can Meet Our Team on this page.
I will assign myself and one assistant to your family, in case I am not available. My assistant will come with me on our “Meet and Greet” or at a later time.
We offer a wide range of customizable services from Dog Walks to Overnight Stays to meet the needs of your pet. Our motto is “Caring for ALL Creatures GREAT and small!”. During our visits/stays you will get text/email updates, along with photos/videos. Please check our Service Page for more information. If you have a particular request, please free to Contact Us.
We do NOT provide this service. The only time we will take a pet into our home is if the home is unsafe (i.e no electricity for an extended period or structural damage.).
Yes, this is a service we happily provide and offer. House Sitting services can include bringing in the mail, garbage, and newspaper, as well as checking utilities, plants, and systems. This service can be customized to meet your needs.
Please see our Testimonials, Google, or our Facebook Page for reviews. We will happily provide personal references from our clients upon request.
At The Savvy Sitter, we strive to provide high-quality, personalized care for every pet we serve. In order to best meet the needs of all our clients, we operate on 2-hour arrival windows. This industry-common practice allows us the flexibility to accommodate variables such as traffic, weather, emergencies and the unique needs of each pet throughout the day.
Our visits typically last 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the services requested and your pet’s individual routine. We’re happy to accommodate specific timing needs such as feedings, let-outs, or medical care—just let us know in your Time To Pet profile or during your onboarding.
Below is a general guide to our daily visit windows:
Morning Rounds: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Afternoon Rounds: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Evening Rounds: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
The Savvy Sitter’s policy for visits are as follows:
A Meet and Greet is an essential part of our pet care process. It allows your pet and their sitter to meet face-to-face with you present, helping your pet recognize us as a trusted friend rather than a stranger entering their home. This also gives you an opportunity to ask questions about our company, services, and experience while ensuring we understand your pet’s unique routine and needs.
Please note:
If we have not seen or provided services for your pet within the last 6 months or more, a refresher Meet and Greet may be required before new services can be scheduled. This helps re-establish familiarity, reduce anxiety for your pet, and ensure safety and comfort for everyone involved.
This also applies to established clients who are introducing a new pet to our care. A Meet and Greet is required to properly meet your new pet, learn their individual needs, and ensure they are comfortable with us entering their home and providing services.
Our goal is always to provide stress-free, loving care for your pet—and maintaining that bond is key to their happiness and well-being.
Yes, we do not schedule services or hold dates until a Meet and Greet has been completed and all required paperwork has been submitted. You can download our paperwork here:

Please Note:
If we have not seen or provided services for your pet within the last 6 months or more, or if you are an existing client introducing a new pet, a refresher Meet and Greet will be required before new services can be scheduled.
