The Savvy Sitter featured in The Washington Post
We’re excited to share that Savanna Westwood, founder of The Savvy Sitter, was recently featured in The Washington Post!
In the article “Travel Experts Offer Advice on Picking the Perfect Souvenir to Give,” Savanna shared her insight on thoughtful ways to show appreciation to those who help while you’re away — from house sitters to pet sitters, friends who gave travel tips, or advisers who helped rearrange flights.
“It’s never expected, of course, but it’s always incredibly thoughtful and appreciated,” Savanna Westwood, owner and founder of The Savvy Sitter, said in an email. Clients will usually offer a cash tip to their pet sitters, but sometimes they will also bring back something like sweets, magnets, or keychains.
Savanna’s advice reminds us that a small gesture can go a long way in showing gratitude to the people who make our travels smoother and more enjoyable.
